1. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions with regards to tire sizing and load capacities.
2. Mount tires on wheels only with mounting equipment designed for performance aluminum wheels. Do not use equipment which will scrape or abrade the wheels. Use liberal amounts of tire mounting lubricant.
3. Check wheel and tire clearances prior to mounting. Ensure that no obstacles such as spring clip retainers prevent flush mounting of wheels.
4. Use adhesive balancing weights only! COR wheels are NOT designed to be used with clip-on or hammer on balancing weights.
5. Most aftermarket wheels are NOT intended to be used with factory lug bolts or lug nuts “hardware”. Use only COR supplied or recommended mounting hardware. Make sure that your vehicle’s factory supplied spare lug wrench accommodates the hardware used to attach the COR wheel to the vehicle. An aftermarket wrench or adapter may be required to properly mount and dismount the wheels. It is strongly recommended that these tools be kept in vehicle at all times to facilitate use of the spare tire (if so equipped).
6. Using a calibrated torque wrench, torque lugs according to your vehicle manufacturer's specifications or, in their absence, use the following guidelines according to the stud diameter: 12mm - 70 to 80 Ft. lbs., 14mm - 85 to 90 Ft. Lbs., 1/2 - 75 to 85 Ft. Lbs.
7. Maintain proper air pressure in tires by checking tire pressures at frequent intervals. Use pressure guidelines recommended by tire manufacturers. In the case of lower profile tires (lower than original equipment), increase pressure 4.5 to 7.5 psi but under no circumstances should you ever exceed the tire maximum pressure, indicated on the tire sidewall. Proper air pressures will aid in avoiding unnecessary road damage to your wheels.
8. Retain a set of your original lugs for use with your spare tire and wheel assembly.
9. The use of tire sealants that are sold in the aftermarket under brands such as Fix A Flat® and in some cases supplied by vehicle manufacturers in lieu of a factory spare, are known to cause corrosion on the inner barrel of wheels. In the event of a flat, do not use these chemicals, or they will void the finish/corrosion warranty on your wheels.
10. COR Wheels are supplied to you with paint, chrome plating, or a combination of these two finishes. These finishes must be maintained as you would maintain the color finish of your car. Clean your wheels frequently to prevent brake dust and dirt deposits from corroding the wheel finish. Only use a solution of mild soap and water for cleaning your wheels. Do not use any spray cleaners or degreasers that you would not use on the finish of your car! Avoid car washes which use harsh detergent prewashes which will damage your finish. Do not wash wheels which are very hot from use.
Remember: Clean your COR Wheels with soap and water only!
